Hey! I’m Colette,
I’m the daughter of a self-proclaimed clean freak. We had chore charts and cleaning schedules for as long as I can remember, and my mother proudly tells stories about how I was cleaning the dinner table at two years old.
Now that I have kids, there are two chores that seem never-ending: laundry and dishes. I don’t know anyone who likes doing these chores (ok, maybe my mom), but I started I started obsessing about them once I was doing multiple loads of laundry and running a full dishwasher — every single night.
The thing that bothered me the most was that I was the one doing these chores by myself. No one wanted to touch gross liquid detergent that sticks to the side of the plastic jug and drips onto your washing machine (and your toes). It’s not fun to try to pour dishwasher detergent into the compartment and hope that it’s closed all the way when you go to shut the door.
I wanted something easier — and something more natural that I felt safe having in my home around my little kids. And then I found sheets.
