HeySunday laundry detergent sheets are currently made overseas, but we're actively working to move manufacturing to facilities in the U.S.

We know how much you value knowing where your products come from. So, let's talk about where HeySunday is made now and share some exciting news—we’re gearing up to move our entire production to the U.S.

At HeySunday, we understand that many of our customers would like to see “Made in the U.S.A.” labels on their purchases, and we wholeheartedly agree. Buying domestically manufactured goods has many benefits, from boosting the local economy and supporting jobs to reducing the carbon footprint from transporting products overseas.

Producing our laundry detergent sheets in the U.S. has always been a long-term objective of our company, and we’re pleased to say that we are getting closer to making this goal a reality.

Where Are HeySunday Detergent Sheets Made?

Currently, all HeySunday products are manufactured in China and stored in our warehouse in Richmond, Virginia. When you place an order with HeySunday, it is fulfilled from our Richmond warehouse, typically within one day of purchase. We exclusively use USPS First Class Mail, ensuring that you receive your laundry sheets within three to five business days– always with free shipping and a 100% money-back guarantee.

As a relatively new company, we had to make some difficult choices to launch HeySunday affordably and sustainably. While we would have loved to produce HeySunday sheets in the U.S. from the start, it wasn’t financially feasible at the time. So, we chose to begin manufacturing overseas to get HeySunday off the ground, with a plan to bring production to the U.S. as we grow.

Through extensive quality control checks and close collaboration with our manufacturing partners, we have always been confident that HeySunday laundry detergent sheets are made to our exacting standards.

We selected the eco-friendly ingredients (e.g., starch, glycerin, tea oil, sunflower oil, citric acid, and vegetable-based cleaning agents) in HeySunday sheets to provide the ideal combination of cleaning power that is also suitable for sensitive skin, and we’re incredibly proud of our resulting product.

What’s the Plan for Bringing HeySunday’s Manufacturing to the United States?

In the past few years, we've been blown away by the positive response to our gentle, biodegradable laundry detergent sheets. Thanks to your support, we're now able to start looking for U.S. manufacturing facilities to bring HeySunday production home.

Our team is actively researching options for the move to American manufacturing. As we hope our customers can appreciate, relocating our entire operation will be a massive undertaking. While we are working to achieve this as soon as possible, it’s a decision we aren’t taking lightly.

Above all, we want to ensure that we choose manufacturing partners who share our values and understand our responsibilities to our customers.

What This Means for You

We want you to know that regardless of where our products are manufactured, you’ll receive the same high-quality, affordably priced laundry sheets you’ve come to know and love.

While there won’t be any discernible changes to our product, domestic manufacturing offers several advantages. Here are some of the main reasons why being “Made in the U.S.A.”  has long been at the top of our priority list:

  • American-made products help to sustain American manufacturing jobs and strengthen the domestic economy.
  • The more local the production, the smaller the carbon footprint, as products don’t need to be shipped overseas.
  • U.S. facilities must follow clear regulations for sustainable manufacturing and environmental protection.
  • U.S. factories are held to high standards for fair pay and labor practices.

Final Thoughts

We know many of you have been asking, "Where is HeySunday made?" Hopefully, this article has clarified that. We're working hard to move all production to the United States.

We look forward to sharing more updates on this transition soon and becoming one of the few laundry detergent sheet brands proudly labeled “Made in the U.S.A.”

In the meantime, we hope you’ll continue to enjoy using HeySunday laundry detergent sheets to take care of your family’s laundry needs. Our commitment to providing a powerful clean with gentle, non-toxic ingredients is as strong as ever, and we love hearing from customers who have switched to the convenience of mess-free, lightweight detergent sheets and compostable, plastic-free packaging.
